Sisters and Tights

If one thing is for certain, it's that there is no shortage of girlishness in our house! Big Sis will wear tights any chance she gets. And even Littlest Sis has shown a special affinity for her pink glitter Mary Janes. In fact, any routine errand outside the house is an occasion to get all dolled up. Today, it was a trip to Target. They are quite a pair! :)

School...or not so much

The boys aren't to the age yet of being able to appreciate a snow day. In fact, they are bummed when they have to miss school. But really, can you blame them? Here's a look at some of the school festivities from the past week...

First there was Chef Day!

Every grade had a different theme...Sports Teams, Professions etc.
Biggest Brother was supposed to don his best Chef attire.
I have to give him props for resourcefulness! He put his outfit together in about 5 minutes the night before. That's a karate outfit, apron, and three pieces of computer paper taped together for a hat. Not bad!


His class won first place!

Then it was Valentine's Day parties for both boys.

This is Younger Brother's first year at school, so all of this stuff is pretty exciting to him!

He did a good job giving each Valentine a personal touch.

He and Big Sis were glad to have a few left over after we separated them. They were Star Wars Valentines, and they were pretty cool.

And last but not least, I looked out the window to see Biggest Brother stepping off the bus wearing this...

It was from the "100th Day of School" celebration.

Apparently, in the first grade you can still get away with a get-up like this on the bus without getting beat up!

Okay, so maybe at this point school is a little more fun than a snow day at home with boring ol' mom!

**Blog Spot Spotlight**

Littlest Sis has earned herself the Blog Spot Spotlight for quite a weekend of accomplishment!

To start, she did both of her businesses on the potty on two separate occasions! (I made daddy take a pic, but I won't be posting that.)

And Sunday morning she wiggled her fingers under my chin and said, "tickle tickle"...

her very first word!

Everyone here at the M house was thankful for the milder weather this week! The kids have been couped up for quite a while!

There was even one day nice enough to go out and swing.

It was all the time Younger Brother needed to polish his new found skill.

He quickly figured out, the harder you pull the higher you go!

Dancing Shoes

What is a princess to do on an indoor sort of day, all dressed up with no place to go?

Well, Mommy just might have something up her sleeve!

Big Sis loves Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princesses, and she has designated certain types of shoes as "dancing shoes".

So, I just happened to be walking through Target the other day when I spotted them!...

And better yet, on clearance for $3.24!

Sis is quite proficient in the shoe department.

Independent Girl part 2

And I thought yesterday was messy!!!
Today: Whole Wheat Pasta and Garden Vegetables

Believe it or not, I do think some of it got into her mouth!

After 6 or 7 wet paper towels and a few passes with a warm washcloth, I decided to scrap it all and just put her in the tub!

All clean!

Awww...Littlest Sis, you can make a big huge mess for mommy anytime!
