Today was Cowboy Day at Preschool. Thanks to some hand-me-downs, and a couple of cool San Antonio souvenirs from Uncle A, Younger Brother was set!
Welcome to the crazy, wonderful world of small humans - starring Biggest Brother, Younger Brother, Big Sis, Little Sis, Princess Aurora, Bubby, and Baby Sis...relatively speaking.

All In a Day's Work
As I pulled up to the farm this morning the sun was rising behind the yellowing leaves of the trees. I could tell it would be the perfect brilliant fall morning for, yes of course, picture taking! Thankfully, I came prepared. :)
It's my favorite time to photograph them, as they are particularly attentive when the anticipation of food is involved!
Every work day starts the same...with Cowboy poking his nose over the front gate to display how he is patiently, or not so patiently waiting for breakfast.

.
Well actually, they're all good, only ornery on occasion, and none of them are ugly - at all! :)
From Left: Buckeye, Dew, and Ace are the farm's newest residents.
I love this shot!
He's top of the pecking order and she is the most "mature" horse at the farm.
Both were there long before me.
The barn matriarch is entitled to some time to sleep in the sun.
But I couldn't leave out the other set...
The piles of souvenir carnage he used to leave in the barn in his more sprightly days were legendary!
Though more recently he prefers to have his food brought to him, and himself brought to the food. He's earned it!
And last but not least, barn newcomer, Joey. Joey was an indoor kitty who earned himself a ticket outdoors. But he doesn't seem to mind. Though, he does still exhibit some "previously a house cat" characteristics. While Tommy strolled away disinterested in my picture taking, Joey was happy to have all eyes on him...

Myotonic Toddler
Littlest Sis has a most hilarious little peculiarity. When she feels shy or intimidated, she totally locks up. She will literally freeze for minutes on end, lower her head, and move only her eyes to see if the person or object of intimidation is still present. And she becomes instantly reanimated as soon as it's gone.
:)

We love you Littlest Sis...you're awesome!!!

Enjoying the Nice Weather
It was so nice out this afternoon, we decided to switch the evening routine around a little and spend some time outside.
Bug is always climbing something!
His Preschool teacher told me that during circle time he volunteered, "My mommy gets upset when I climb on the roof."
True.
Littlest Sis has been a much happier girl since she started walking and can experience the fun things her siblings can do.

True.
Littlest Sis loves "fl-owies!"
Younger Brother took this picture of a spider he found. You may need to click on the pic to be able to see it, but it's a pretty nice shot.
Thank goodness his agility seems to be well-matched with his fearlessness!
