Woah!

Uncle A showed up this evening with a 5 POUND Hershey Bar!!!
I'm pretty sure this is Sis's closest tangible way of comprehending heaven. :)

Meet the 'pillars

Biggest Brother had a field trip earlier in the week. He took his own money, and returned home with these...

Meet Everest and Abby.
They are Painted Lady caterpillars, and brother is super excited about them! He's been watching them like a hawk all week. Abby made her crysalis today, and Everest will hopefully be close behind. We have moved them into a butterfly house, and the kids are anxiously awaiting the metamorphosis!

Bug's Eye View

The following are all pictures taken by Younger Brother at the Mother's Day Tea. I went out on a limb and decided to trust him with my good camera. He looked so cute running around in his blazer, with the camera strap around his neck posing people! I did not crop or alter these pics in any way...and he took them all without any assistance from me! I think the boy has an eye!

Mother's Day Tea

Friday was the Mother's Day Tea at Younger Brother's preschool. Having been through it once before with Biggest Brother, I was looking forward to it as much as Bug was! It's just a really nice event! The mom's get to have a yummy brunch with their child followed by songs and crafts prepared by the preschoolers. Tons of fun!

I had one handsome date!

Waiting in the lobby at school, he was very excited.

Bug got a surprise visit from "Tall Socks"...totally made his day.
He's had a crush on her all year. She got her name from the first day he told us about her. He said he sat next to her at circle time, she smiled a lot, and she has tall socks. :)

Time to sing! He did a great job!

"I'm a little tea pot..."

Buggy's teachers.
They are both wonderful!

He made me a pot of paper flowers, each one saying what he does to help mom...."feed the horses", "make cupcakes", and "clean".
He also made a card with a flower made out of his thumb prints that said, "I love my mom because she makes me cupcakes."
Apparently he had cupcakes on the brain that day!
And he also picked out the beads for a bracelet his teachers helped him make.
It's actually a very cool piece of jewelry!

Thanks B!
I'm glad that God picked me to be your mom!!!

Truck Tumble

Sunday night we went to dinner with Uncle A. We were in the parking lot getting to leave the restaurant, and Big Sis was standing in the back of the truck (presumably safe from traffic) waiting her turn to get buckled. For some reason, she walked to the way back, missed a step, and plunged head first onto the concrete! Not only did she come up with a Tom and Jerry style goose egg growing out of her forehead, but she must have tried to grab for something on the way out because she got a nasty laceration on her finger as well!

Needless to say, we spent the evening at the Urgent Care getting x-rays on both her head and hand. Verdict: probable concussion, laceration and contusion on her finger, but nothing broken!
She actually looks pretty good here. There is more swelling than bruising, so it's hard to see the lump on her head in photographs.

Regardless, she is a trooper! And it hasn't slowed her down a bit. Her finger was pretty nasty, so they put her hand in a splint to protect it while it heals.

She's actually found some pretty innovative ways to use her splint. Walk the plank Storm Trooper Boy!

Naptime...resting comfortably in brother's bed!
I'm so glad you're okay Sis! You gave us quite a scare!

A Visit from Uncle A

Younger Brother loves his Uncle A! He was talking to him on the phone last night when he came to me all teary and rubbing his eyes. Apparently, he was upset because he thought the phone call meant that Uncle A was coming over right then, as opposed to Sunday as originally planned. Uncle A didn't have the heart to disappoint, so he made a spur of the moment detour on his way home from work, just to see Bug. I was working on getting everyone ready for bed, when I came down the stairs and saw this...

I thought it was so sweet how eagerly he was anticipating Uncle A's arrival that I had to take pics...

A car in the driveway at last!

Awww :)
