Ouch!!!

I got a phone call from Younger Brother while I was working at the farm this morning, telling me that he and Biggest Brother were wrestling, and he ran into his bunk bed with his face. This was the scene when I got home. And yet, he was totally unphased by this!

Party Like You're 365!

And now, scenes from the big day...
It was a beautiful day for celebrating Littlest Sis's first year!
Yes, I know we're missing a shutter...darn you Ike.

I had to get pics of the birthday girl in her birthday dress...
lots of pics!

Oh Sis, you're beautiful!

This was daddy's passive resistence to my making him "pose" for a picture.

Big Sis was thrilled to have an occasion to get all dolled up!!
Though for her, the grocery store is an occasion for that.

And I suppose she tolerated having her picture taken.
Can you tell?

Grandma K

Grandma M

Our small, mostly family get together was just right...still festive, and not too overwhelming for a shy baby girl!

A couple more pics before it's all destroyed by frosting!

Cake time!

She was actually pretty dignified about it all.

I LOVE this picture!!!

Then on to presents.
The siblings all worked very hard on this present they decorated for Sis.

A new ladybug hat from Aunt L!
Nice movie star stare Sis.

Littlest Sis feels the same way about hats that Big Sis feels about shoes!

I thought this was the sweetest thing...
I mean, who wouldn't love a rocking butterfly?!

She got the hang of it right away.

Thanks Everyone for making Sis's birthday super great!!!
And um Dad, I'm pretty sure you're too big for that thing!

B-Day Play by Play

We had a small family get together on Saturday to celebrate Littlest Sis's first year. But the following are pics taken on her actual birthday. Daddy had the day off work, and we all had a lovely day hanging out and celebrating at home!

Good Morning Birthday Girl!
Upon opening the blinds, she received a warm sun kissed start to her day!

She spent most of her morning in close proximity to her favorite family member.

Once nap time arrived, Daddy and the boys ran to the store, while Big Sis and I mixed up some cupcakes.

About the time the cupcakes were finished, Daddy arrived back from the store with

Sis's first ever balloon.

It was a huge hit!

Then it was time for dinner and more importantly, dessert!

...and what could be more exciting than dessert?

Presents!

She quickly figured out that the idea is to unwrap them anyway you can.

And most of the time, teeth work best!

Everyone was happy to help her test out the new loot.

She may be drinking from the tea pot, but the real beauty of this picture is the brothers in the background!

The tea set was a huge hit. Which is probably a good thing, seeing as though she only made it through two gifts before she totally sacked out.

Having had all the excitement she could take in one day, we decided to call it a night and save the remaining presents for the next day.

Night night Littlest Sis!
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
You are my sweet pumpkin
And your mommy loves you!!!
