Just Like Sis

I was in my room on Sunday when Big Sis came in dragging her Disney Princess dress-up trunk behind her. She began pulling out all of the necessary components to be the Little Mermaid, and Littlest Sis dove for every one of them yelling, "No no no no!" I asked Big Sis to keep her dress-up stuff in her room, so she pushed it back down the hall with Littlest Sis on her heels the whole way. When they got there, Littlest Sis began rifling through the trunk and came up holding the top and bottoms for Snow White. She beamed with pride as I put them on her!

It looks like we're going to have another resident princess!
Oh Sis, you make a lovely Snow White!

And she's learning to walk just like Big Sis too...
8 whole steps in a row!

...And how to tug Daddy's heartstrings.
Lookout Daddy, you have dueling princesses now!

First Day of Ballet!

Yesterday was Big Sis's very first dance class! She has been looking forward to it for weeks! And being that I remember looking forward to this sort of thing since the doctor said, "It's a Girl!" I had to take about nine hundred pictures. :)

Coming outside for some pics...perhaps we shouldn't sit on the ground in a pink leotard Sis, let's go over here...

She's very proud of her purple ballet bag and wanted to be sure it got in the shot!

Smiling up at Daddy taking her picture on his camera.

We got a surprise visit from "Aunt M".

Sis made sure to show her some moves!

Time to go!!!
It's a good thing we started getting ready early. It was no small task getting her wee tiny amount of hair up in two little buns!

-----
And finally, the moment she's been waiting for...

Sis is fourth in line, or the shortest one in pink, and her good buddy "A" is next to her in blue.
Sorry the picture quality isn't great. I was shooting in low light through tinted glass. We captured the moment anyway. :)

This is the ballet portion of her class.

Next is tap.

I love this picture!!!
I think Sis loves watching herself in the big giant mirror.
-
I snagged this pic from A's mom. It was too sweet not to include!
A is in the foreground and Sis is to her left.

We took the girls outside afterward to try to get a few pics of them together. But they were pretty much done with posing by that point! :)

Apparently ballerinas like to play in dirt too...

And pick crab apples off trees, and apply them like make-up.

-

It's a shame they aren't girly girls or anything! :)
-----
Well that's it until next time!
Sis's first class was a definite thumbs up! She loved it just as I suspected she would!
Next time....video!

1st Day of 3day P

Tuesday was Younger Brother's first day of 3day Preschool! I'm a little exhausted from our new schedule, hence the two day delay in getting these posted.

He ran right in and found himself a dump truck. I did, at least, get a hug first.

As you can see, he wasn't too upset about being left, so we didn't stick around for long.

At least I still have my girls at home to keep me company...sniff sniff.
----
When we picked Brother up from school I asked, "How was your day?"
He replied, "Good! I did silly things for that one girl."
Me: "Really. What did you do?"
Brother: "I dumped noodles on my head!"
Me: "Oh Wow, I bet she was impressed!"
(Still haven't figured out which girl this is.)

More than a PB&J...

I found this in Biggest Brother's lunchbox after the first day of school, hehehe.
It just so happens that this same little girl was the one who gave him his very first "love note" 3yrs ago when they were in Preschool together. Only then, it was just a random jumble of letters on pink kitten stationary. :)

(P.S. His name is inside the heart, I just blurred it for privacy sake.)

1st Day of 2nd Grade

Well, I dropped Biggest Brother off for his first day of second grade this morning. He was sitting happily between his two best friends in the chapel, and couldn't have cared less when I left. I am sooo excited for him that all three of them got the same teacher this year!
----
I also learned this morning that the Kindergarteners now wear uniforms and go to school full-day.....which means that this will be my last year of having Younger Brother home with me (at least part of the time). Gulp, sniff, gulp!

Diva-fied!

I came home from parent orientation last night to find my 3yo chillaxin' on the couch with a princess dress, shades, and pink DS....apparently the only thing missing is the Shirley Temple with a little umbrella in it!

Presentation Is Everything

How does one get rid of sloppy joe leftovers with children who do not care for sloppy joes?

Barbeque Sloppy Canoes!
Huge hit....even Big Sis devoured hers.
The pretzel oars were my personal favorite. :)

Shemanesa Naqua!

Boy, you can't tell that someone has been to a certain local outdoor drama, can you?!

The pioneers are steppin' it up a notch!

Somebody save that prairie girl in distress!

Meanwhile...

While Biggest Brother was off taking spills in mud puddles with dad, here's what was happening at the homestead.

Baby M is getting big!
And still 18 weeks of growing to go...I'm going to be enormous!

Younger Brother is a pro Slip N Slider...not that I would expect anything less from him.
Thankfully, there have been no trips to the urgent care thus far.

Note to self: Next time, sand first, Slip N Slide second.

He likes to get the bar swinging as high as he can and then drop back like this. I think I caught him on the downswing in this pic.
Did I mention trips to the urgent care?

He's such a monkey!

P.S. There is another similar "new" post that I forgot to move out of draft status. When I retrieved it, it posted on the date it was uploaded. It's called "Backyard Fun" and if you scroll down you will find it between Nasty-grams and Fashion Do.
