Passing Of The Board

Saturday

It was a bittersweet day here at home. Biggest Brother got his very first skateboard, and consequently Daddy retired his. The two of them went to the local indoor skate park, and Brother picked out a brand new deck (i.e. the board part). Apparently, nice skateboards are purchased in pieces.

When they got home dad removed the trucks, bearings, and wheels from his own beloved board...

...and installed them on Brother's.

Uh, that's not a guitar dude.

Ah memories...

This is the skateboard that Daddy had when we got married. He used to put the boys up on one of his shoulders and skate around the parking lots of our first apartment.

It looked a little lonely sitting here on the table.

Meanwhile, in the garage...

Not funny Daddy!

That's more like it!

He's getting so grown up.

Brother offered to let Daddy try out the new board too.
I have learned well that when you see J in this position, trouble is a brewin'!
I'll just leave you with the following clip...

We give it a 10!
