Anniversary and an Independence Day Road Trip

Daddy had the day off work today. So we met up with his parents and headed down to Hocking Hills for a little day trip. The kids had fun throwing rocks and climbing around at Ash Cave...the same place that J's parents used to take him when he was a kid.

It was a chilly 63 degrees with steady rain, but thanks to the shelter of the cave it didn't matter much. The kids wouldn't have cared anyway. However, I am officially firing my hubby from kid clothing duty. We showed up to find that neither of the boys had a sweatshirt, long sleeve shirt, or rain gear.

Thanks Aunt S.......your bag of hand-me-downs was still in my truck. Younger Brother is happily sporting his new long sleeve Thomas the Tank Engine T-shirt.

Umbrellas work for waterfalls too...kind of. All he needs is a hand bag and he'll be a regular Mary Poppins.

Together time on the road.....see there is a function to an 8 seater gas guzzling SUV! We got 4mpg going up hill. Thankfully, when you go up you get to coast back down...98mpg doing that!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOM AND DAD M! 33 Years today!!! :)
